A New Chapter for Doncaster’s Pupil Lifestyle Survey!

We are excited to announce that Insight Now has been commissioned to deliver the Young People’s Lifestyle Survey, previously the Pupil Lifestyle survey, in partnership with the City of Doncaster Council from the 2025/2026 academic year!

The change marks an important step forward for Doncaster’s School Health Surveys by expanding our surveys to include dedicated surveys for Post 16 provision, Special settings, Pupil Referral Units, Alternative Provision and Home Educated young people. By broadening the scope of the surveys, we can better capture the experiences of young people in Doncaster and ensure that every voice is heard!

What is the Young People's Lifestyle Survey?

The Young People’s Lifestyle Survey is a key part of the City of Doncaster Council's commitment to improving health outcomes for young people. Since 2015, Doncaster Council has conducted the Young People's Lifestyle Survey, which has provided valuable data on children and young people’s health-related behaviour, through an anonymous school-based questionnaire. From the 2018/19 academic year the survey has been completed annually.

The data from this survey has provided a set of Doncaster-wide figures at key points in children and young people’s development; KS2, 3 and 4. The results have allowed us to more effectively target work with children and young people, and provide an agenda for action into the future.

It gathers valuable insights on topics such as:
