Our Rethink Periods education programme has moved online and we are loving all of the fantastic feedback from teachers and school nurses who have participated. “Genuinely the best training I have ever had in 6 years of teaching. My partner is a deputy head and I was raving to him about it as soon as he walked in the door. I learnt SO many new things!”.

Our funding is to reach 600 schools, and we are nearly there. We wanted to email you again to make sure you don’t miss out on our last training dates for this academic year.

How does the training work?

We are using zoom which you can access on any device with internet. You can download Zoom before the training, so you are ready to go on the big day. We are using the following format for our meetings:

• Training session 1 – 40 minutes – looking at the issues surrounding period products and the free teaching resources we provide
• 10 minute break – to go to the bathroom (or you can go and check if your children / partners / housemates have drawn all over the walls with your favourite make up / Sharpies)
• Training session 2 – 40 minutes – going through the products in the demo box, Q&A
• Approx. one week after your training you will be invited to a voluntary Q&A session in case you have any further questions and once you have had chance to look at the resources and the product demo box.

‘Oh my goodness, will everyone be able to see me?!' Nope, don't worry, you can be in tracksuits or leotards or pyjamas or having an amazingly bad hair day and nobody will know...  Our trainers will be using screenshare as well as video so they will be able to show you the period products, but you won't be on show.  In fact, all participants will be muted for the most part to avoid background noise, but they’ll still be plenty of opportunity to write questions through the chat function or you can virtually ‘put up your hand’ as we go so that the trainer can answer any questions. We’ll share all joining information once you have secured your place.

What about the free product demonstration box worth £120?

Don’t worry you will still receive our awesome product demo box with examples of every period product out there. It is packed full of disposable, reusable, plastic-free and organic products as well as some fab discount codes. This is on top of the password you will receive that gives you access to the six lesson plans, presentations and teacher resources.

The product demo boxes will be distributed within a week of your training via secure post with whoever is still functioning in this strange lockdown period to an address of your choosing (you can have it sent to your home if you like) . This will allow you to explore all the goodies before the voluntary Q&A session.

When can you take part? We have the following dates and times coming up. We are aware that some dates are in the Easter holidays but we are still running these thanks to interest from some teachers specifically for these dates.

Please note that we are only able to provide one product demonstration box per school. If you have a partner teacher who will also be delivering this with you in school and wants to join the training please do get in touch and if we have any capacity we will try to fit them in.
