FREE Cycle Ride Leader Training available!

Have you thought about leading bike rides for pupils at your school? For schools working with Modeshift STARS this could be a reality.

Doncaster Council have secured 16 places for Modeshift STARS schools to attend “Cycle Ride Leader Training”. The training is FREE for all staff that are based in Doncaster schools and looking to enhance the active travel offer currently at their school. 

The training will enable staff to lead bike rides with groups of children from their school and utilise the local cycle network in Doncaster. The ride leader training will further support the promotion of Active Travel in your school.

Attendees will be given the skills necessary to lead a cycle ride, along with a cycle map of Doncaster to help you plan the best routes near your school. You will be provided with continued Active Travel Officer Support to plan a bike ride in the summer of 2020.

 There are three dates for staff to enrol onto the course. These are;

•  Tuesday 18^th February (Venue: Club Doncaster Cycle Hub)
• Tuesday 17^th March at (Venue: Club Doncaster Cycle Hub)
• Tuesday 24^th March (Venue: Doncaster Cycle Track)

 Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, to register please complete the attached registration form and return to either:
